U534

U534 is a type "1XC-40" U boat built in 1942 in Hamburg.  Sank 5th May 1945 20 Kms NE of the Danish island of Anholt.  Salvage in 1993 and now on display in Birkenhead, Liverpool.

Ian was employed as a "talking head" for a television programme entitled - Submarine Mission Impossible, produced by Mallison Saddler Productions.
